Gulf Coast Fund for Community Renewal and Ecological Health
Founded just weeks after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Gulf Coast Fund and the organizations we support are vital networks for the just and sustainable development of the Gulf Coast region and for addressing the underlying causes that led to the severity of the disasters. Led by an Advisory Group of leading policy advocates, grassroots organizers and community activists, the Fund has disbursed over $2.6 million to over 145 grassroots and community-based organizations working on a wide range of issues from the coastal regions of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas.
