Laura Delman Associate
Laura works with Director Rae Richman and Senior Philanthropic Advisor Joanne Greenstein in the San Francisco office to provide philanthropic consulting services to individuals, corporations and foundations.
Prior to joining RPA in August of 2009, Laura worked at the San Francisco-based nonprofit International Forum on Globalization, where she worked as Program and Administrative Associate, conducting research in issue areas ranging from climate change to indigenous rights. Laura graduated from the University of Washington (UW) in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies and minors in Human Rights and Law, Societies and Justice. While at UW, Laura volunteered or interned with several Seattle-based environmental and social justice organizations, such as Corporate Accountability International and Community Alliance for Global Justice. She also participated in a study abroad program in Fortaleza, Brazil focused on culture, development and social justice issues through the School for International Training (SIT). In her youth, Laura spent a summer volunteering in rural Dominican Republic through the Amigos de las Américas program. It is through these experiences that Laura has developed a strong passion for sustainability and justice – lenses through which she now guides her work in philanthropy.
Laura currently serves on the Steering Committee of the local Bay Area chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP).
