Senior Accountant, Sponsored Projects & Funds

Jeff joined RPA’s finance team in May 2017 as a Senior Accountant. He works closely with the Sponsored Projects & Funds (SP&F) team providing analysis and reporting support while also assisting the finance team in all general accounting matters. Jeff works with SP&F Relationship Managers in managing the partnerships and communications surrounding financial reporting through budgeting and expense tracking, monthly, quarterly and other customized reports, client meetings, Grant reporting and responding to general ledger inquiries in order to facilitate a welcoming environment for our Sponsored Projects to thrive. Jeff is involved in the preparation for periodic Program/Grant audits as well as RPA’s Annual Audit, assisting in providing documentation and schedules as needed. Jeff is a member of RPA’s newly formed Mission Metrics Committee.

Before joining RPA, Jeff worked as a Senior Accountant for the Goodwill of Greater Washington. At Goodwill he worked alongside the Sr. Director of Finance, the CFO and Manager of Accounting Operations on all accounting areas including month end close entries, process documentation, account reconciliations, financial reporting and general ledger analysis. At Goodwill he served as a primary resource for all the accounting and reporting needs of the Goodwill Excel Center (Public Charter School). Prior to Goodwill, Jeff was a Senior Auditor at Calibre CPA Group, PLLC where he developed his expertise in the non-profit sector working on a variety of Audits and non-attest services including Tax Form 990 preparation and special projects.

Jeff graduated with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University Of Richmond – Robins School of Business and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership at Fordham University. When he is not at RPA, he enjoys playing basketball, obsessing over his adorable godson, and seeking out mentoring opportunities, recently serving as a POSSE Foundation- Scholar Writing Coach. Jeff is an Oliver Scholars Program Alum, a program which prepares high-achieving African-American and Latino students from underserved NYC communities for success at top independent high schools and prestigious colleges. He now serves as member on the Oliver Scholars Junior Board.
