Jesse Ostroff

Senior Associate

Jesse works with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors’ west coast advisory team in San Francisco to perform research on nonprofits, grantmaking and foundations, prepare presentations, implement programs, organize convenings, and develop and administer grantmaking services. His work with clients touches on issues in education, art and environmental justice.

Before joining Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors in summer 2018, Jesse worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA program outreach coordinator at New Door Ventures, a nonprofit and social enterprise focusing on workforce development training for disconnected youth in the Bay Area. He has held internships with Senator Dianne Feinstein and the CEELI Institute in Prague.

Jesse graduated from the University of Michigan in 2016, where he received B.A.s in Political Science and International Studies, and wrote a thesis on notions of nationalism in indigenous communities in south-central Chile. He is currently President of the San Francisco chapter of Amigos de las Américas. Originally from Southern California, Jesse is always in search of a beach, even in foggy San Francisco summers.
