Rena Peng

Advisor

Rena joined Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors in 2019 and is part of the New York advisory team. She works with individuals and families to define and implement their philanthropic goals, providing mission and values guidance, issue area research and expertise, and grantmaking best practices. She also works with donor collaboratives, community foundations, and corporate foundations to provide strategic planning, advise on governance and structure, facilitate collaborative giving, and conduct sector scans and benchmarking analysis. She has focused on a variety of issue areas and approaches, including reproductive health, criminal justice reform, food insecurity, education, and economic mobility. She is fluent in Chinese and works with the Global team on Chinese philanthropic and impact investing initiatives.

Prior to Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Rena served as Program Manager at the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, DC, where she managed the Corporate Equality Index report rating Fortune 500 companies and AmLaw 200 law firms on their policies and practices pertaining to their LGBT workforce.

Rena holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. in Government from Smith College.
