Ricardo Castro

Ricardo Castro is Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where he oversees global legal, regulatory, and governance matters for one of the nation’s leading health equity philanthropies. With over 30 years of experience in corporate law, nonprofit leadership, and global philanthropy, Ricardo has held senior roles at the Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundations, Clinton Foundation, International Rescue Committee, and Consumer Reports. Raised in a Cuban-immigrant family in New Jersey, Ricardo brings a lifelong commitment to advocacy and equity to his work. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders in mission-driven organizations. Ricardo holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
