Uptake of Science-based Targets: Global Commons Alliance

Launched in 2019, Global Commons Alliance aims to recruit enough companies, investors, and cities to enable the systemic uptake of science-based targets throughout the global economy. GCA is a collaboration that involves four core grantees, about two dozen sub-grantees, a wide range of partners, and a leadership council, in addition to the investor collaborative.

As the fiscal sponsor and home of the project, RPA provides support by:

• Working closely with the team on strategy, theory of change, and a systems-oriented monitoring, reporting and evaluation framework.
• Managing the process by which four core funders provide donations.
• Handling all grantmaking and fiduciary duties.
• Serving as the investor collaborative coordinator.
