Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors Appoints Two New Board Members to Advance Its Mission of Accelerating Philanthropy

Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its board of directors: Anisa Kamadoli Costa and Ricardo Castro. 

RPA is a global organization with a mission to accelerate philanthropy in pursuit of a just world. The addition of these two accomplished leaders brings deep expertise in sustainability, governance, and global philanthropy. 

“Anisa and Ricardo bring a wealth of experience in strengthening organizations that drive social impact,” said Valerie Rockefeller, Chair of the RPA Board of Directors. “Their leadership in sustainability, equity, and governance will help RPA continue to deepen its reach and relevance in a changing philanthropic landscape.”

Anisa Kamadoli Costa is a sustainability and philanthropy leader who currently serves as President & Trustee of the Rivian Foundation and Chief Sustainability Officer at Rivian. Previously, she was Chairman and President of the Tiffany & Co. Foundation and Tiffany & Co.’s first Chief Sustainability Officer, where she shaped the company’s global impact strategy. Anisa’s extensive board service spans private, family, and corporate foundations, as well as nonprofit organizations including the KERING Foundation in the Americas, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, Friends of the High Line, and Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs. 

Ricardo Castro is Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where he oversees global legal, regulatory, and governance matters for one of the nation’s leading health equity philanthropies. With over 30 years of experience in corporate law, nonprofit leadership, and global philanthropy, he has held senior roles at the Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundations, Clinton Foundation, International Rescue Committee, and Consumer Reports. Raised in a Cuban-immigrant family in New Jersey, he brings a lifelong commitment to advocacy and equity to his work. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders in mission-driven organizations 

With these appointments, RPA’s board continues to reflect a broad range of expertise across sectors and geographies, strengthening its role as a trusted advisor, thought partner, fiscal sponsor, and incubator for new philanthropic initiatives.
